The Signature Event will be held in Lecture Hall 1 and 2 at the Field Museum.

The Field Museum is located in the heart of Chicago’s Museum Campus. All attendees receive a complimentary pass to visit the museum’s permanent exhibits during the two day conference. Extended lunches have been built into the conference program for you to visit the museum. The Field Museum is a great place to see extraordinary exhibits, and is also a world renowned research facility.

Transportation to the Field Museum:

Commuting to and from the Museum by Car: The Field Museum is located at 1400 S. Lakes Shore Drive, in the heart of Chicago's Museum Campus. From Lake Shore Drive, exit at 18th Street. Follow Museum Campus Drive around Soldier Field. Signs will indicate the North Garage Parking lot.

Parking: Parking is located in the North Garage which is accessible via the main entrance to the museum campus. You can enter the parking lot from 6am – 5pm and exit at any time. For four hours or less, the rate is $16, for more than 4 hours, the rate is $19.

Nearby Airports: Chicago Midway International Airport and Chicago O’Hare International Airport

Hotels

We have blocked a small group of rooms at locations close to the museum. There are a limited number of rooms and we anticipate these rooms will sell out quickly, so please book your room early. The rooms are available on a first come first serve basis and will have a reservation cut-off date of September 12th.

Best Western Grant Park

The closest hotel to the Field Museum & Museum Campus, this hotel is conveniently located at 1100 S. Michigan Avenue in Chicago. You will be in walking distance to the Museum Campus (15 minute walk), the Navy Pier and the Magnificent Mile. Our special rate at the Best Western Grant Park hotel is $225 per night for single/double occupancy and $235 per night for triple / quadruple occupancy. Our special rate at the Essex Inn is $159 for Tuesday October 11th and $239 for Wednesday October 12th. If you are staying for both nights, the average rate per night combined is $199 per night.
