Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Would you like to have your products and services marketed at one of the most targeted Help Desk conferences in the industry?  The 7th Annual Help Desk Professionals Conference and Expo is just the event to get this exposure.  The conference will be held at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, October 26th - 28th.

Vendors and practitioners are all part of the service and support community.  To that end, we’ve developed a culture at the conference that is not the typical "them" vs. "us".  The Conference for Help Desk Professionals has designed a program for everyone to feel part of an event without bias to vendor, consultant or practitioner.

We feel strongly that all vendors should have an opportunity to sponsor an event with such an extremely targeted audience made up of key decision makers and become an integral part of this community.  So we are offering an a la carte selection of investment opportunities.  There are sponsorship opportunities from $500 - $30,000 so everyone can find something that will fit their budgetary requirements.

Why Exhibit?

The Help Desk Professionals Conference (HDP) in its 7th year has been rated by the attendees as one of the most content rich conferences having the highest overall quality of speakers in the industry.  We aren't the largest event in this space but have one of the most targeted audience with the highest number of decision makers  Year after year, we deliver an event that focuses entirely on the educational and networking experience of our attendees.  Our attendees come back year after year, demonstrating their appreciation for a delivering an event that is worth their time and investment.

HDP 2005 represents one of the best opportunities for your company to directly connect and form intimate relationships with decision-makers as they make critical purchasing decisions on service and support solutions for their organizations.

What will be done to create a blended community and increase your exposure

We believe that when vendors participate in sessions they will improve their product and service offerings through a better understanding of the attendees' needs.  Vendors who attend our conference sessions will be better able to serve our attendees and the industry.

  • Vendors and attendees will all wear the same name badge types. There will not be any distinguishing factors to make the vendors standout like a "target" from others.

  • Vendors who have sponsored the event may attend any and all sessions at no extra cost.  This does not apply to vendors who have made no investment in the event.  Lunches and evening events will require a ticket be purchased.  The hotel resort sit-down lunch tickets are $50.00 and the dinner events are $45.00 (San Diego Zoo) and $65.00 (USS Midway),  Tickets can be purchased at the time of your sponsorship purchase, via the web-site in advance, or on-site.  It is preferred to have these processed in advanced simply so we can provide the headcount numbers to the caterers and the hotel.

  • Vendors may attend the Mastermind Sessions both Thursday and Friday morning in the intimate discussions.  If they have purchased the appropriate sponsorship, vendors will be leading the Mastermind discussion groups.

  • We will enthusiastically help you arrange for a user group meeting onsite.  You must let us now in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements, publicize the meeting if possible, and be sure the details are posted when people arrive.

  • There will be no individuals standing outside of the doors to the expo hall and break-out sessions to see if people are legitimate to participate.  We are inviting everyone to participate in everything, both attendees and vendors alike.  The only exception being the vendor purchase of lunch tickets, which are included free for paying attendees.

  • Attendee mentors will make a "soft" introduction to potential prospects should an attendee ask who they should speak to for a specific need.

  • Maximum exposure to attendees will be afforded with a reception and lunch held on the expo floor. Expo hall hours will allow you one-on-one time with the attendees who have an interest in your products and services.

Vendors are asked to respect attendees and not sell to them in sessions or other inappropriate times.  We ask that you honor and respect their desire to experience the event and not be made to feel uncomfortable because someone is trying to solicit their business at inopportune times.  Our experience is that the vast majority of vendor participants will honor and respect this, once they understand the requirement.  Paid sponsor or not, if an attendee complains that a vendor has made them uncomfortable at an inappropriate time, outside of the Expo Hall, we will politely and professionally offer a gentle reminder to honor the attendee's experience.
